Our story began in 2013, when Rojin, a mother of six, moved to Istanbul seeking safety for her family after a tragic event involving her husband.
While trying to rebuild a new life, she turned to her remarkable talent for crochet and hand weaving, creating beauty with her hands as she worked to provide for her children and herself. It was during this time that our paths crossed — a meeting that became the first step in transforming her craft into a source of hope and inspiration for those around her.
What began as a small non-profit social initiative soon evolved into a growing movement supporting women’s employment and empowerment.
Over time, this initiative became Turquoise Tassel, an internationally recognized brand, and above all, a story of hope, solidarity, and pride written by women.
Our mission has never been limited to helping women earn income.
We aim to help them discover their potential, express their ideas freely, and become inspiring figures within their families and communities.
That is why Turquoise Tassel serves as a bridge of joy, connecting the women who create with the women who appreciate, uniting craftsmanship with consciousness and style.
The refined artisanal heritage of Anatolia, its dowry traditions, cultural richness, and emotional depth continue to live in the fabric of our brand today.
Our craftswomen combine traditional crochet, knitting, and weaving techniques with unconventional materials such as silk kutnu, ikat fabrics, raw canvas, truck tarpaulins, and fishing nets, transforming them into wearable and functional works of art.
This handcrafted artistry lies at the very heart of our sustainable design philosophy.
Our goal is to direct the value created through this work toward education for women and children,
building, hand in hand, a livable and hopeful future.
